Bringing Biomedical Science to the People Who Need It Most
Biomed Today is an independent biomedical science news publication built for professionals, researchers, and curious minds who want more than headlines. We go deeper — covering the science behind the discovery, the biology behind the breakthrough, and the therapeutic challenge behind the innovation.
Who we are and what we do
Our mission is simple: make cutting-edge biomedical research accessible, accurate, and useful to everyone who works in, studies, or cares about this field.
Biomed Today is a science-first publication. Every week we track the most significant new research emerging from the world’s leading journals — Nature, Cell, Science, The Lancet, NEJM, and beyond — and translate it into coverage that is rigorous without being inaccessible. We read the literature so you do not have to read all of it. We filter, contextualise, and communicate — clearly and honestly, without sensationalism, without oversimplification, and without the commercial agenda of a publisher owned by a pharmaceutical advertiser.
We are run by biomedical scientists, for biomedical scientists and the wider community that depends on this science.
Landmark findings from the world's leading journals before the broader science media catches up. We cover the mechanisms, the methods, and what the results actually mean.
A specialist focus area where our coverage goes further than any general science publication. Nanoparticles, liposomes, exosome delivery, targeted systems, and therapeutic formulation challenges.
The companies, partnerships, funding rounds, and pipeline developments shaping the next generation of medicine. We report on what is happening and explain what it means.
Phase I through to approval. Key trial readouts, FDA and EMA decisions, and pipeline candidates across oncology, neuroscience, cardiovascular, inflammatory conditions, and infectious disease.
Deep-dives into the science behind the conditions and technologies we cover — written for scientists and those who are not yet scientists but want to understand.
Perspectives from researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals who are shaping their fields. Commentary that challenges conventional thinking and opens new conversations.
We do not publish claims we cannot support. We cite original research, credit source journals, and correct errors promptly when they occur.
We would rather publish fewer, better pieces than fill a page with recycled press releases. Every article we publish adds context, explanation, or insight that a reader cannot get from a headline alone.
Biomed Today is not owned by a pharmaceutical company, a media conglomerate, or an advertising network. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial relationships. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled and kept entirely separate from editorial output.
Science literacy matters. We write for experts but we do not write only for experts. Our Science Explained section and research highlights are written so that a student, a patient advocate, or a curious professional from outside the field can follow and benefit from them.
Scientists and PIs who want to stay across fields adjacent to their specialism
Doctors, pharmacists, and nurses following emerging therapies before they reach clinical practice
Early-career scientists building knowledge of the broader field beyond their immediate research
Industry scientists, clinical development, regulatory, and medical affairs teams tracking the field
Life science investors and analysts who need to understand the science behind the companies and pipelines they evaluate
Writers, journalists, and educators who need accurate scientific context for their own work
Built and run by Biomedical Science Professionals
Biomed Today is produced by practising and experienced biomedical science professionals. Every article, research highlight, and expert piece published on this platform is written with scientific accuracy and professional credibility at its core. We are not a general media team covering science from the outside — we are scientists communicating science from within the field.
Biomed Today will publish full editorial team profiles shortly. In the meantime, you can reach the editorial team directly at biomedtodaynews@gmail.com with any questions, story tips, corrections, or collaboration proposals.
