Write, Collaborate, and Shape Biomedical Science Communication
Biomed Today is built on the expertise of the biomedical science community. Whether you are a researcher with findings to share, a student building a science communication portfolio, or a professional who wants to contribute beyond the lab — there is a place for you here. We welcome contributors at every career stage.
Share your knowledge with thousands of science professionals
Biomed Today invites researchers, clinicians, industry professionals, and science educators to contribute expert articles, opinion pieces, research highlights, and commentary. If you have something meaningful to say about biomedical science — a new development in your field, a challenge the community needs to address, or a perspective that adds to the conversation — we want to hear from you.
We welcome submissions from academic researchers, clinicians, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, pharmaceutical and biotech professionals, regulatory scientists, and science communicators. Authors should be genuine subject matter experts. We do not accept articles from authors whose primary role is marketing, public relations, or business development, and we do not accept content that promotes a specific company, product, or service as an editorial contribution.
Before you submit, please read the Submission Guidelines in full. All contributors are expected to follow them without exception. To express interest, email us at biomedtodaynews@gmail.com with subject line “Write For Us” and include a brief description of your proposed topic and your professional background.
Start your science communication career here
Biomed Today is a growing publication and we are excited to offer editorial internship opportunities to students and early-career scientists who want to explore science journalism and digital publishing alongside their research careers.
We are a startup — small, focused, and driven entirely by a passion for making biomedical science more accessible. That means our internships are genuinely hands-on. You will not be filing documents or sitting in the background. You will be contributing real content to a real publication from day one.
Official letter confirming your internship, role, and contributions for your CV.
Your name on every article you write, permanently attributed and publicly accessible.
Mentorship from experienced biomedical science professionals throughout your internship.
Fully remote, flexible schedule designed to fit around your studies or research commitments.
We are looking for BSc, MSc, or PhD students in biomedical science, pharmacy, biochemistry, medicine, or related fields — and early-career researchers with strong written English and an interest in science communication. Email biomedtodaynews@gmail.com with subject line “Editorial Internship” and tell us about yourself and what you would like to get out of the experience.
We are looking for biomedical science professionals
Biomed Today is actively looking to grow its team of editorial contributors and science writers. If you are an expert in any area of biomedical science and want to communicate the field’s most important developments to a global professional audience, we want to work with you.
Contributing regular research highlights, news pieces, or expert commentary on a flexible schedule that works around your existing commitments. Helping identify the most important new research in your area. Upholding our editorial standards of accuracy, clarity, and independence.
Scientists and professionals who are active in the field with genuine current knowledge of their area. People who can write clearly and accurately. Anyone passionate about making biomedical science more accessible and widely understood.
We are building a team for the long term. If you want to be part of something from the beginning, email biomedtodaynews@gmail.com with subject line “Join the Team” and tell us about your background and what you would like to contribute.
Read before you write
Your article reaches researchers, clinicians, pharma professionals, and investors who are professionally invested in the field.
Accepted articles are featured in the Biomed Today newsletter, delivered directly to our full subscriber base.
Articles are shared across our LinkedIn and Instagram channels, extending reach into professional networks.
Publishing on an independent biomedical platform builds credibility and professional recognition in your field.
Every article carries your name, affiliation, and biography. Your contribution is permanently attributed to you.
A published article on a professional platform is a citable, concrete demonstration of your science communication ability.
Articles should address topics of genuine relevance to our readership. Good contributions do one of the following: explain the significance of a current discovery or trend in biomedical science; highlight an emerging topic that has not yet received wide attention; identify a shared challenge in biomedical research and offer practical recommendations; or provide a clear, accessible explanation of a complex topic for a broad professional audience.
Articles submitted as editorial contributions must not promote, directly or indirectly, any specific company, product, commercial service, or institution. If you wish to share promotional content, this is possible through our Sponsored Content pathway. See the Sponsorship section below for details.
Authors must be genuine subject matter experts. We do not accept articles from those in marketing, PR, or business development roles. Include a brief bio of no more than 80 words and a professional headshot with your submission.
Authors who use AI tools to assist with writing must review, substantially edit, and take full personal responsibility for all submitted content. AI-generated text submitted without meaningful development will not be accepted. AI-generated images are not accepted at this time.
800 to 2,000 words, excluding headline, references, and author bio. The introduction should be no longer than three paragraphs. For drafts significantly over 2,000 words, we will discuss whether a two-part series is appropriate.
Submit as a Microsoft Word document or Google Doc in English. Include a working headline of no more than eight words and in-text subheadings. Define all acronyms at first use. Number references as superscripts in the order they appear and list them in a References section at the end.
Images, figures, charts, and graphical abstracts may be included. Authors are responsible for holding rights or permissions for any image that is not their own original work. Submit images as high-resolution JPEG or PNG files with a caption for each. Company logos will not be accepted.
The Biomed Today editorial team reviews all submissions and reserves the right to accept, decline, or request revisions on any piece. Accepted articles are edited for clarity, accuracy, style, and readability. Authors are responsible for all statements in their work. We aim to respond within 10 working days.
To submit, email your completed draft, outline, or abstract to biomedtodaynews@gmail.com with subject line “Submission”. Include your full name, professional affiliation, and a brief description of the piece.
Reach our audience through clearly labelled sponsored content
Biomed Today welcomes sponsored content from business partners, academic institutions, research organisations, and science professionals who wish to share their work, products, services, or announcements with our audience in a transparent and clearly labelled format.
Sponsored content gives your organisation a direct channel to a professional community of biomedical researchers, clinicians, students, pharmaceutical and biotech industry professionals, and science investors. Every piece of sponsored content is clearly labelled so our audience knows the distinction between editorial and commercial content. This transparency is non-negotiable and is what maintains the trust of our readership.
Your article reaches researchers, clinicians, pharma professionals, and investors who are professionally invested in the field.
Product launches, platform updates, and technology announcements from life science and healthcare companies.
Team spotlights and capability overviews from research groups, CROs, CMOs, and healthcare technology providers.
Conference previews, webinar promotions, and event announcements relevant to the biomedical science community.
Sponsored content is published as submitted, without editorial modification by Biomed Today. It is displayed on our website and distributed through our newsletter. Content must be accurate and factually sound. We will not publish content that makes unsubstantiated clinical claims or that could mislead a professional scientific audience. We reserve the right to decline any submission that does not meet these standards.
To enquire about sponsored content, email biomedtodaynews@gmail.com with subject line “Sponsorship Enquiry” and include a brief description of your organisation, the content you wish to publish, and your intended timeline. We will respond within two working days.
